Frequently Asked Questions

We want to make it as easy and seamless as possible for you to complete your underground storage tank (UST) operator certification, and for groups to manage and facilitate UST training for their employees or operators. Below we share answers to common questions regarding using the website, taking the training, maintaining certification, and more.

What equipment do I need to be able to take my training or exam?

Antea Group’s UST Operator Training offerings require an internet connection and a basic computer. If you experience any technical problems, first contact your internet service provider or organization’s help desk to make sure your internet connection is functioning correctly and your computer is compatible with Antea Group’s UST Operator Training learning platform. If the problem continues, please contact Antea Group at 1-888-951-3456 or ust.operator@anteagroup.com

What if I forgot to save the course reference materials or I can't find them on my computer?

Contact Antea Group at 1-888-951-3456 or ust.operator@anteagroup.com. Please reference your completion certificate number. 

How much time can I take to complete the courses?

Unless otherwise specified, there is a 30-day time limit to complete Antea Group’s UST Operator Training courses. For those states that require Class A/B operators to take an exam, you can take the exam up to two times before you must re-purchase a new course. Depending on the person, the operator training can take anywhere from 15 minutes (Class C) to up 5 hours (Class A/B) to complete. For most courses, you can access the online training at any time and as often as desired to obtain your certificates.

If I'm in the middle of my training and my internet connection is lost, or I log off, will I have to start the training over?

If you’re in the middle of a module and the computer disconnects from the internet or you log off, you’ll have the option to pick up where you left off or start the module over again. Any modules and end-of-module exams already passed will remain saved as complete.

Will I be able to see correct answers to missed questions as I take my training or exam?

Correct answers to missed questions will be displayed if you pass the exam module. For example, if you answer four out of five questions correctly, the answer to the missed question will be displayed. If you don’t pass the module, the whole quiz will be presented again, possibly with different questions, until you pass that module. However, you can only retake the EXAM one time.

Technical

How do I change my password?

Log in to the learning management system by clicking “My Course Login” in the upper right corner of the website. Then click on “Edit Profile” in the top left corner. From there, click on “Edit my profile” under your profile photo and name. Lastly, type in your new password in the “Password” and “Confirm password” fields, and click save at the bottom of the page.

How can I update my account information?

Log in to the learning management system by clicking on “My Course Login” in the upper right corner of the website. Then click on “Edit Profile” in the top left corner. From there, click on “Edit my profile” under your profile photo and name. At that point, you’ll be able to update any of your account information. Once you’re finished, click “Save” at the bottom of the page.

How do I change the language setting?

Log in to the learning management system by clicking on “My Course Login” in the upper right corner of the website. Then click on “Edit Profile” in the top left corner. From there, click on “Edit my profile” under your profile photo and name. Then scroll down to the “Language” field and select your preferred language from the drop-down menu on the right. Once you’re finished, click “Save” at the bottom of the page. You can also select your language at the time of registration.

I forgot my username or password. How can I recover it?

Select the “I’ve forgotten my username/password” option on the “My Course Login” page, follow the instructions and you’ll receive a username or password reset email.

If you can’t remember both your username and password, or you’re still having issues after resetting either of these login credential, contact Antea Group at 1-888-951-3456 or ust.operator@anteagroup.com.

Who do I contact about credit card or payment problems, receipts, or refunds?

Maintaining Certification & Retraining

How long is my training or certification valid for?

Each state has different regulations on how long operator training certifications are valid. Use our All Courses by State page to find your state to find more information and resources that can help you.

How do I reprint or verify my training certificate?

Log in to the learning management system by clicking on “My Course Login” in the upper right corner of the website. Then click “Achievements,” which is located in the menu to the left. There you’ll see an option for printing your certificate of completion.

If you’ve taken your training through our legacy API Operator Training website, you will not be able to print your certificate manually, but our team can. Please contact Antea Group at 1-888-951-3456 or ust.operator@anteagroup.com

I took the test and received a new certification number. I could not find out how to keep my original number. What are my options?

When training certificates are renewed a new number is assigned. This action is based on a committee decision intended to reduce fraudulent activity.

Managing Operator Training at the Corporate Level

How can corporations pay for and manage training for their employees?

Antea Group works directly with multi-site operators (i.e. retailers, suppliers/wholesalers, service companies, fleet-based operations, etc.) to help them find and secure training for UST operators across their operations at discounted rates. Our company has multiple offices. Can we have multiple administrators?

Yes. You can have multiple locations, administered by different individuals. Keep in mind though, that when company tokens are used, only the people who are registered with the company that the token was purchased for will be able to use the funds from that token. For instance if you have a company named ABC with several locations, you may want to set up the company names as follows: ABC-Houston, ABC-Washington. But, users listed under ABC-Washington will not be able to use the token assigned to ABC-Houston.
