Course Description

Antea Group offers Class C training for Vermont UST operators. The curriculum meets the Vermont Department of Waste Management requirements and is available in a convenient online format.

All courses will expire and must be completed within 90 days of purchase. Please also note to use Google Chrome or Firefox as your browser. Internet Explorer and Edge can have issues with some aspects of your course.

Class C

Antea Group’s Vermont Class C UST training course is available on-demand, and can be taken anytime and anywhere for your convenience. The course is self-paced, allowing you to stop and start as many times as needed. The training takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. As with most states, Class C training is facility-specific, so certification is only valid after signature approval by the Class A or Class B operator following a review of the UST system for your facility.

UST Training Requirements for Vermont

In Vermont, the private sector is allowed to develop an in-house training program for their employees; however, that training must be reviewed and accepted by the Vermont Department of Waste Management. Alternatively, Class A or Class B operators can be certified by taking an International Code Council (ICC) that’s tailored to Vermont UST rules and regulations.

Class C operators may receive training through an approved in-house program or through an approved third-party provider such as Antea Group. Refresher training is required every two years for all classes.

As previously mentioned, outside of state-approved in-house training, the ICC’s Vermont-specific exam is the only state-approved method for Class A or Class B certification. Visit the ICC website below for more information:

Reciprocity & Additional Resources

Vermont does accept operator training certifications from the Maine DEP and the New Hampshire DES. For more information on Vermont’s UST training requirements, visit: https://dec.vermont.gov/waste-management/storage-tanks.
