Course Descriptions 

 The Illinois Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM) has approved Antea Group’s underground storage tank (UST) operator training courses for all classes. Upon completion of the course, you’ll receive a certificate that can be downloaded and printed for your records.

All courses will expire and must be completed within 90 days of purchase. Please also note to use Google Chrome or Firefox as your browser. Internet Explorer and Edge can have issues with some aspects of your course.

Class A/B/C

Antea Group’s Class A/B/C UST operator training course is available on-demand, making it easy for you to complete anytime and anywhere. The course is self-paced, allowing you to stop and start as many times as you wish.

Depending on the user, the training typically takes approximately five hours to complete. In addition, your course purchase comes with a comprehensive handbook that can be downloaded and used for the 75-question, open-book exam following the training, as well as an on-the-job reference material.

Class B/C

Antea Group’s Class B/C UST operator training course is available on-demand, making it easy for you to complete anytime and anywhere. The course is self-paced, allowing you to stop and start as many times as you wish.

Depending on the user, the training typically takes approximately four hours to complete. In addition, your course purchase comes with a comprehensive handbook that can be downloaded and used for the 60-question, open-book exam following the training, as well as an on-the-job reference material.

Class C

Antea Group’s Class C UST training course is available on-demand, and can be taken anytime and anywhere for your convenience. The course is self-paced, allowing you to stop and start as many times as needed. The training takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Unlike most states, Class C training must be provided by an approved OSFM Trainer, such as Antea Group.  Class A/B Operators cannot train Class C unless they have been approved by OSFM.

Class C Spanish

Antea Group is proud to offer the only approved Class C Operator Training in Spanish.  Antea Group’s Class C Spanish UST training course is available on-demand, and can be taken anytime and anywhere for your convenience. The course is self-paced, allowing you to stop and start as many times as needed. The training takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Unlike most states, Class C training must be provided by an approved OSFM Trainer, such as Antea Group.  Class A/B Operators cannot train Class C unless they have been approved by OSFM.

UST Training Requirements for Illinois

OSFM requires the training and certification of all Class A and Class B operators. Class A and Class B operators must be retrained and recertified every four years from the date on their certificate. Retraining is also required if violations or training deficiencies are found during an inspection.

As for Class C operators, OSFM requires all to be trained and certified. Class C operators are required to be recertified every four years. Class C operators should be trained through a state-approved course as Class A and Class B operators are not allowed to train Class C employees unless their course has been state-approved.

Reciprocity & Additional Resources
