Course Descriptions

Antea Group’s Class A/B and Class C underground storage tank (UST) operator training and exam courses are approved by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division (GAEPD) of Underground Storage Tanks. Upon completion, you’ll receive a certificate that can be downloaded and printed for your records.

All courses will expire and must be completed within 90 days of purchase. Please also note to use Google Chrome or Firefox as your browser. Internet Explorer and Edge can have issues with some aspects of your course.

Class A/B

Antea Group’s combined Class A/B UST operator training course for Georgia operators is available on-demand, making it easy for you to complete anytime and anywhere. The course is self-paced, allowing you to stop and start as many times as you wish.

Depending on the user, the training typically takes approximately five hours to complete. In addition, your course purchase comes with a comprehensive handbook that can be downloaded and used for the 75-question, open-book exam following the training, as well as an on-the-job reference material.

Class C

Antea Group’s Georgia Class C UST training course is available on-demand, and can be taken anytime and anywhere for your convenience. The course is self-paced, allowing you to stop and start as many times as needed. The training takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. As with most states, Class C training is facility-specific, so certification is only valid after signature approval by the Class A or Class B operator following a review of the UST system for your facility.

UST Training Requirements for Georgia

To be certified as a Class A, Class B or Class C operator, individuals must pass an examination approved by the GAEPD. Should an individual fail the exam, they are required to complete an approved operator training course and pass an examination. While all Class A and Class B operators must retake and pass the Georgia UST operator exam once every seven years, there are no retraining requirements for Class C operators.

Our combined Class A/B course fulfills requirements for both Class A and Class B operators, and our state-approved, stand-alone Class C course also meets Georgia requirements.

Reciprocity & Additional Resources

The GAEPD does accept operator training certification for individuals trained in South Carolina and Tennessee. However, a reciprocity request form with the completed training certificate must be submitted for approval.
