Course Descriptions

Antea Group’s Class A/B and Class C underground storage tank (UST) operator training courses meet or exceed the requirements of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) UST Program. After you complete the training, you’ll receive a certificate that can be downloaded and printed for your records.

All courses will expire and must be completed within 90 days of purchase. Please also note to use Google Chrome or Firefox as your browser. Internet Explorer and Edge can have issues with some aspects of your course.

Class A/B

Antea Group’s combined Florida Class A/B UST operator training course is available on-demand, making it easy for you to complete anytime and anywhere. The course is self-paced, allowing you to stop and start as many times as you wish.

Depending on the user, the training typically takes approximately five hours to complete. In addition, your course purchase comes with a comprehensive handbook that can be downloaded and used for the 75-question, open-book exam following the training, as well as an on-the-job reference material.

Class C

Antea Group’s Florida Class C UST training course is available on-demand, and can be taken anytime and anywhere for your convenience. The course is self-paced, allowing you to stop and start as many times as needed. The training takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. As with most states, Class C training is facility-specific, so certification is only valid after signature approval by the Class A or Class B operator following a review of the UST system for your facility.

UST Training Requirements for Florida

FDEP requires the training of all Class A, Class B and Class C operators. All UST facilities must be in compliance with the operator training requirements by Oct. 15, 2018. Our combined Class A/B course fulfills requirements for both Class A and Class B operators, and our state-approved, stand-alone Class C course also meets Florida requirements.

Reciprocity & Additional Resources

The FDEP does not accept operator training certification for individuals trained outside of Florida. For more information on UST training requirements in Florida, visit: http://www.dep.state.fl.us/waste/categories/tanks/pages/op_train.htm.
