UST Operator Training Resources for Delaware

The State of Delaware has partnered with the Delaware Technical & Community College (DTCC) to provide the only state-approved UST operator training course and exam. Below you’ll find details on training requirements, and quick links to course information.

Class A, Class B, and Class C Operator Requirements for Delaware

The Delaware state-approved DTCC course consists of two, four-hour sessions administered at three locations statewide. There are currently no approved online courses, which means operators must be trained and certified through the community college course.

Class C operators do not need to take the formal training and exam at DTCC. They can be trained on-site by a Class A or Class B operator.

Reciprocity & Helpful Links

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Tank Management Branch (DNREC-TMB) is the state’s UST regulatory agency. DNREC-TMB does allow reciprocity for training certification from other states; however, a Delaware-specific exam must be completed and passed.
