Course Descriptions

Antea Group’s Class A/B and Class C underground storage tank (UST) operator training courses are approved by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection (WVDEP). Upon completion, you’ll receive a certificate that can be downloaded and printed for your records.

All courses will expire and must be completed within 90 days of purchase. Please also note to use Google Chrome or Firefox as your browser. Internet Explorer and Edge can have issues with some aspects of your course.

Class A/B

Antea Group’s combined Class A/B UST operator training course for West Virginia operators is available on-demand, making it easy for you to complete anytime and anywhere. The course is self-paced, allowing you to stop and start as many times as you wish.

Depending on the user, the training typically takes approximately five hours to complete. In addition, your course purchase comes with a comprehensive handbook that can be downloaded and used for the 75-question, open-book exam following the training, as well as an on-the-job reference material.

Class C

Antea Group’s West Virginia Class C UST training course is available on-demand, and can be taken anytime and anywhere for your convenience. The course is self-paced, allowing you to stop and start as many times as needed. The training takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. As with most states, Class C training is facility-specific, so certification is only valid after signature approval by the Class A or Class B operator following a review of the UST system for your facility.

UST Training Requirements for West Virginia

WVDEP requires the training and examination of all Class A and Class B operators. There are no annual retraining requirements; however, if a facility is determined to be non-compliant, retraining is required. Based on the compliance issues, the WVDEP will determine whether Class A, Class B, or both operator classes will need retraining. Antea Group’s combined Class A/B course offering meets all West Virginia’s requirements.

In addition, WVDEP requires the training of all Class C operators. Class A/B operators may not train the Class C operator without pre-approval from WVDEP. Refresher training is not required for Class C operators.

Reciprocity & Additional Resources
