Alabama UST Operator Training
Our Certified UST Training Offerings
Antea Group’s Class A/B and Class C underground storage tank (UST) operator training courses are approved by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management’s (ADEM) UST Program. Upon completion, you’ll receive a certificate that can be downloaded and printed for your records.
All courses will expire and must be completed within 30 days of purchase.
Antea Group’s Alabama Class A/B UST operator training course is available on-demand, making it easy for you to complete anytime and anywhere. The course is self-paced, allowing you to stop and start as many times as you wish.
Depending on the user, the training typically takes approximately five hours to complete. In addition, your course purchase comes with a comprehensive handbook that can be downloaded and used for the 75-question, open-book exam following the training, as well as an on-the-job reference material.
Antea Group’s Alabama Class C UST training course is available on-demand, and can be taken anytime and anywhere for your convenience. The course is self-paced, allowing you to stop and start as many times as needed. The training takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. As with most states, Class C training is facility-specific, so certification is only valid after signature approval by the Class A or Class B operator following a review of the UST system for your facility.
UST Training Requirements for Alabama
ADEM requires the training and examination of all Class A and Class B operators. There are no retraining requirements unless ADEM requires retraining due to compliance deficiencies that were identified during an inspection. Our combined Class A/B course fulfills requirements for both operator classes.
ADEM requires the facility-specific training of all Class C operators by the Class A or Class B Operator. There are no retraining requirements; however, annual retraining is strongly recommended.
Reciprocity & Additional Information
ADEM does accept operator training certification for individuals trained outside of Alabama. However, ADEM must verify and accept that training. Operators should contact ADEM for verification and acceptance at:
