Course Descriptions

Antea Group’s Class A/B and Class C underground storage tank (UST) operator training and evaluation courses are approved by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Of note: This Class A/B training course is based on TCEQ's 2011 UST Rule.  The Class A/B training associated with the current Texas UST Rule, effective May 31, 2018 is forthcoming. All Operators taking this A/B course will need to be retrained according to the TCEQ May 31, 2018 UST Rule by January 1, 2020.

After completing the training and passing the evaluation, you will receive a certificate that you can download and print for your records.  This certificate will expire on December 31, 2019.

All courses will expire and must be completed within 30 days of purchase.

Class A/B

Antea Group’s Texas Class A/B UST operator training course is available on-demand, making it easy for you to complete anytime and anywhere. The course is self-paced, allowing you to stop and start as many times as you wish.

Depending on the user, the training typically takes up to four hours to complete. In addition, your course purchase comes with a comprehensive handbook that can be downloaded and used as an on-the-job reference tool.

Class C

Antea Group’s Texas Class C UST training course is available on-demand, and can be taken anytime and anywhere for your convenience. The course is self-paced, allowing you to stop and start as many times as needed. The training takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. As with most states, Class C training is facility-specific, so certification is only valid after signature approval by the Class A or Class B operator following a review of the UST system for your facility.

UST Training Requirements for Texas

TCEQ requires the training and evaluation of all Class A and Class B operators, and Antea Group’s combined Class A/B training course meets requirements for both classes. The state of Texas also requires operators to undergo refresher training at least every three years. Retraining is also required of Class B operators if a facility is noncompliant with UST regulations.

In addition, TCEQ requires the training of all Class C operators and they’re also required to take refresher training at least every three years.

Reciprocity & Additional Resources

TCEQ does not accept training and certifications from other states. For more information on UST training requirements in Texas, visit:
